George J. Sawyer III, Learning Architect & CEO
George is founder and CEO of Sawyer Training, Inc. (STI) with over twenty-five years experience as an educator. His specialty is making the complex world of technology accessible to the average user.
An outspoken advocate for digital literacy in the workplace, George is an active instructor and speaker on end-user adoption and training. He holds academic degrees (B.M. & M.Div.) as well as many technology certifications including Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). George is well known for his flexibility and breadth of knowledge and is sought after as an instructor for his ability to make complex topics seem easy. His teaching method focuses on empowering users to problem solve and continue learning far beyond the classroom.
Recent trainings have included a 6000-user Office 365 implementation, a 4000-user Google Apps launch in Singapore and Atlanta, a 1200-user SharePoint launch in MN, as well as classes throughout Minnesota, the United States, and internationally. George was a featured instructor for August 2011 by The Training Associates, is a member of the board of director of Association for Talent Development – Greater Twin Cities chapter, and has served as editor for two major cloud certification is currently serving on the ITpreneurs’ Cloud Curriculum Review Board.
George has three children and is married to Mandi Sawyer (COO of STI and well-known Pastry Chef). They enjoy the challenge of living a very low-tech, sustainable life in an urban environment.
