Following a successful period of employment as a computer specialist with a major international organisation, David founded Microspec in 1982.  From day one, the mission has been to provide cost-effective IT systems and services that exceed our client’s expectations.  As a result, Microspec has grown into one of the longest established IT companies in the country with many of our clients remaining loyal advocates for the business for quarter of a century and more!

Lyndsey Pettigrew, Company Secretary
Lyndsey has been actively involved with Microspec for many years and brings a wealth of administrative and organisational skills gained with a number of different firms and organisations.  These include solicitors, an international drinks company and a high-profile media organisation.  Passionate about customer care and after sales service, Lyndsey is at the forefront of our customer relationship management services.

Ruth MacFarlane,  Administration Manager
Ruth has worked as Administration Manager at Microspec for the past eighteen years.   Ruth is a fully committed member of staff and absolutely believes in Microspec’s business values.   Ruth’s work provides her with a range of variety as well as contact with lots of different people which she really enjoys. 

Ruth is primarily responsible for the day to day administration and marketing and is known for her perfectionism….one of Ruth’s many motos is ‘if a jobs worth doing it’s worth doing perfectly’.

Iain Gladstone, Senior IT Consultant
Iain takes charge of the technical side of Microspec and has been part of the team since 1993. Having worked in the IT industry for over 27 years has allowed Iain to gain extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to ensuring our clients receive the best possible solutions, service and support.  

 Iain continues to make sure the services offered by Microspec provide real benefits to our clients and keeps up to date with certification and accreditation on the solutions Microspec provide.

Gemma Shankland, Support Technician
Gemma is the newest member to join Microspec and has been working with the team for almost a year.  Prior to becoming a team member, Gemma attended College to gain a HND in Software Development.  On completing her college course Gemma was also awarded ‘Student of the year’ for her hard work and dedication. 

Gemma holds certification as a MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional and also MCDST – Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.

Gemma has had previous experience in Customer Care and New Business and where possible continues to use this experience to ensure Microspec clients get the support they require.
