Well what a year! Social Media has seen some mega changes going on in every platform… facebook has gone big time for business creating lots of opportunities, twitter had layout & functionality changes with many third party apps coming in to their own – including Hootsuite & Buffer… and all this for a function that’s as old as the hills… engagement! Well let’s face it that is all social media is… no it’s not a magic bullet to propel your business in to the stratosphere that is the world wide web! If you think it takes no time, effort or energy you are on a different planet to everyone else… it’s good old fashioned conversation that has come in to it’s own.
We’re really motoring with almost daily changes and loving the opportunities they present… from blogging to fanpages it seems this is the latest must have accessory for business and something we have used for over 14 years is now being touted by the world and his wife… and we’re keeping on top of the myriad changes to help businesses large and small sharing what we have tried and tested with quality content and programmes (like nimble) to keep your business oiled and running on all cylinders.
A whole new business has evolved creating social media managers from taxi drivers and florists who have the £500 fee for the online courses… And let’s face it – none of it is rocket science…. But, let’s not forget that what goes on-line can stay on there for a very long time… so it is imperative that there is an element of reputation management as well as quality content being managed for you and your business.
